Proofing & approvals

Review before production

Proofing helps catch artwork, text, numbering, color, and order-detail issues before a custom permit job moves forward.

1. Send project details

Start with artwork, quantity, product type, numbering needs, and any prior order details if this is a repeat job.

2. Review the proof

Check the design, text, colors, numbering notes, and product assumptions before approving the order for production.

3. Approve or request changes

If something is wrong, request corrections. If everything looks right, approve the proof so the job can move forward.

4. Production handoff

After approval, production can proceed based on the approved details and any final notes attached to the order.

Customer proof checklist

Check the details before approving

A proof is not just a picture. It is the chance to confirm the order details before production.

Product type and size
Spelling, names, dates, and permit year
Logo, colors, and layout
Numbering range or variable data
Quantity and product group
Material or use case
Shipping address and deadline
Anything that must match a previous order

Artwork cleanup

If a file is not production-ready, it may need cleanup, rebuild, or replacement before a clear proof can be approved.

Approval matters

Production should follow the approved proof and final order details. Review carefully before approving.

Clear notes help

Short, specific correction notes are easier to act on than broad comments like 'make it better' or 'fix logo.'

Need help reviewing a proof?
